Description

We're looking for a full time Head of Finance to join our customer-centric organisation.

You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the CEO to drive business performance and planning for growth realisation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all finance activities across the business
  • Management of a small finance team
  • Provide valuable data analytics - oversee and develop greater automation of financial data
  • Support the commercial optimisation of existing contracts
  • Provide financial and commercial support for all new bids and tenders, including modelling support
  • Lead the relationship with the bank and other external advisors
  • Lead budget and forecast updates across the business, providing support, insight and appropriate challenge
  • Provide regular insight on cash flow performance and projected development
  • Ownership of monthly management accounts process, providing interpretation and validity to other reference points
  • Oversee statutory accounts process
  • Provide weekly P&L updates, ensuring there is a timely view of performance across the business
  • Be an active member of the senior management team
  • Provide process and system improvements through streamlining, documenting and standardising processes
  • Support on finance and commercial aspects of new business initiatives.

About you

  • You'll be educated to degree level and ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • You'll have 5+ years finance management experience, preferably in a busy SME environment
  • You'll have strong leadership experience and excellent interpersonal skills in leading a team
  • You'll have the ability to work in the detail, but also see the big picture and provide strategic decision making
  • You'll be commercially astute with a collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit.
